In 1994 Cam Calder and Jorg Schulze produced the first edition of the 'New Zealand Petanque Association Newsletter' and a further 3 editions were published.
From 1995 the newsletter evolved into the 'Boules Gazette' which was produced and edited by Cam Calder. Eleven editions were published. The final edition was published in March 1998.
With the demise of the 'Boules Gazette' the NZPA Committee produced 2 editions of 'The Bouletin'. The 'Boules Gazette' was resurrected for one more edition in March 1999 by Michael Emerson.
In June 1999 the first edition of the magazine 'Petanque New Zealand' was published with Brenda Dykes as editor. Published four times a year, a total of 18 editions were produced. The final edition was published in December 2003.
After a gap of nearly two years 'Petanque New Zealand' was resurrected in September 2005 with Murray Porter as editor producing 19 Issues. Following on from Murray, Graeme Morris took over in 2011 and produce a further 11 editions.
While the magazine has been well loved PNZ considered that in 2017 with Graeme's resignation and rising costs of publication and postage along with declining subscriptions and advertising, PNZ consider the time is right to move to a lower cost, more accessible e magazine. We are currently looking for an editor for this publication.
