In three years Bryan was able to work with sponsors and gaming trusts to raise over $100,000 to develop the Horowhenua Petanque Club facilities from a bare paddock to a playing area for 24 pistes (a further 6 pistes are planned) and a renovated and well equipped clubhouse.

The Horowhenua Petanque Club staged the 2006 Trans Tasman Challenge and Bryan was Chairman of the Organising Committee.
