Petanque New
Zealand advises that this year's National
Singles Championships will be held at the
Alexandra Petanque Club on 10th & 11th October.
Alexandra is about
50 minutes drive from Queenstown. The club has
advised that transport will be provided for
players (and supporters) to and from Queenstown
Airport.
The last flight out
of Queenstown on Sunday is at 5.40pm. PNZ
intends to format and run the tournament so that
people will be able to catch this flight if they
wish. This will involve playing through longer
on the Saturday.
Alexandra has a
range of reasonable priced accommodation, from
motels to backpackers and motorcamps/holiday
parks. The Alexandra Club is also investigating
accommodation deals, and we will advise further
on this as soon as possible.
