Results

New Zealand won both the Open and Senior Trans Tasman Challenge held on 12 & 13 April at the Christchurch Petanque Club, Christchurch.

 

At the end of the first day in the Open New Zealand lead by 36 points to 24 points and in the Senior section New Zealand lead 39 points to 21 points.

 

On the second day New Zealand went on to consolidate it's position in the Open, finishing at the end of Round 9 with an unbeatable score of 69 points to 39 points. Round 10 was not played.

 

In the Senior section New Zealand scored a convincing victory 72 points to 24 points at the end of Round 8. The final two rounds were not played.
