The Association’s accounts show
a healthy surplus of $6,295.35
for 2004.
Main points to note:
-
Slight drop in tournament
income due to the entry
numbers being in the singles
and doubles being down on
2003.
-
The Trans Tasman shows a
loss of $1,810.74. However
PNZ did agree to contribute
$1000 to the cost of holding
this event. Therefore the
amount lost was comparable
to 2003.
-
The World Championships
basically broke even.
-
The number of affiliated
clubs increased from 43 to
46.
-
The number of affiliated
members increased from 1164
to 1231 and therefore an
increase in subscriptions.
Note that the figure shown
for the 2003 subscriptions
included magazine
subscriptions.
-
A decrease in expenses of
38%.
-
The costs of holding Council
and Executive meetings
decreased by 29%.

following Trusts who made grants
to PNZ for:
-
Trans Tasman: Unison Trust
-

Trust, The Southern Trust,
The Lion Foundation, Pub
Charity,
New Zealand Community Trust
Donations and other grants
The funding of the team to the
World Championships would not
have been possible without the
donations from clubs and
individuals (including the team
members). One very pleasant
surprise last year was a grant
of $3,000 from the Minister of
Sport for the World
Championships team. On behalf of
PNZ I would like to thank the
various clubs, individuals and
the Minister of Sport for their
support
