Motion:
"That the current
Rules of the New Zealand Petanque Association be
repealed and replaced in their entirety by the
new Constitution appended hereto, with immediate
effect."
Moved: Barbara
Whittington; seconded Brian Smith.
Discussion:
Graeme Morris
outlined the need for a new constitution, and
the background to its development.
There was a query
asking for confirmation that the new
constitution would bring benefits to petanque in
New Zealand. Graeme Morris replied yes, it will
enable petanque to be run on a more secure,
professional and representative basis than at
present.
Other queries were mainly a matter of
interpretation; the Secretary undertook to
answer these later.
A vote of thanks
was moved to Barbara Whittington and Michael
Emerson for their work in drafting the new
constitution.
The motion was put
to the vote and passed unanimously on voices.
The Chair declared the meeting closed.
